The best form of vitamin C is the buffered type. This form is easily absorbed in the stomach. Vitamin C is essential for tissue repair and serves as a great antioxidant boosting your immune system. Take one 1000mg dose every hour until you have a loose stool, then back off. Everyone’s dose is different--if you want to be conservative, take 1000-3000mg twice daily, but if you are immunocompromised I would recommend taking more.
Vitamin D regulates innate and adaptive immune response. Some patients do not have the receptor to take Vitamin D. The recommended dose is 5,000 to 10,000 units per day. If you are immunocompromised or have a genetic snip, that dosage will need to be higher, so contact your functional medicine provider.

Vitamin A helps protect cell membrane and prevents cytokine storm. The recommended dosage is 5,000 to 8,000 units per day.
